In addition to products, we provide our customers with the technical support of an in-house laboratory facility for quality control and testing purposes. We routinely run water, paraffin, corrosion, emulsion testing and specific test procedures as required by our customers. All of our ISO 9001:2000 quality control testing is performed in this laboratory.

Gulf Coast Chemical has always been at the forefront in establishing quality and safety programs. In May 1995, Gulf Coast Chemical became the first Louisiana member, and only the second regional member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors to receive ISO 9000 certification. To become certified, Gulf Coast underwent an evaluation process that included developing a formal quality management system, an internal audit and management review, employee training, process documentation, and implementing a document control system. ISO certification shows that the
company has a consistent process for managing employee and contractor competence, customer communication, design verification, supplier management, document control and service delivery, as well as management oversight and continual improvement of the system as a whole.

We are also a member company of the National Association of Chemical Distributors “Class of 1995”, which is the first group of companies to receive UL certification for compliance with the association’s mandatory third-party verified environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS&S) program known as Responsible Distribution.
